FYO Orchestra stands for “First Year Orchestra”. You learn the basics for starting to play an instrument and don’t need to have any experience to join this class. This class is made up of mostly 6th graders and some 7th and 8th graders.
Camerata Orchestra is the first level of the preforming orchestras. This class is made up of mostly 7th graders and some 6th and 8th graders.
Philharmonia Orchestra is the second level of the performing orchestras. This class is made up of mostly 7th graders and some 6th and 8th graders.
Cambiata Orchestra is the second highest level of the performing orchestras. This class is made up of mostly 7th and 8th graders and some 6th graders. Cambiata students have a chance to audition for a place in the Cinco Symphony (more information in Sinfonia Orchestra description).
Sinfonia Orchestra is the highest level of the performing orchestras. This class is made up of mostly 8th graders and some 7th graders, including very few 6th graders. Sinfonia students perform with band and sometimes choir in a group called Cinco Symphony.
